About Adena

I share tools from Ayurveda, Maya medicine, my studies in Earth-based spirituality and Druidry to support women in healing from painful periods, and empowering them with hands-on self healing tools to feel better, and to know and trust their bodies.

To move into motherhood and postpartum with more support and connection, to move through fertility challenges or conscious conception with deeper awareness and natural options.

I’m Adena.

I am a student of ayurveda, herbs, druidry, and wise-woman ways. I am professionally trained in The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy. At this time I am choosing not to label myself, or aspire to a title or outer authority to deem me fit to practice. I pray that this keeps me working from a place of humility, as well as self-confidence.

I take the most practical, useful tools from these authentic sources and guide women in applying them to their lives through experiential courses and women’s gatherings.

I practice what I preach – and I teach from the wisdom traditions of Ayurveda and Mayan medicine, as well as from my own experiences through the transition from maiden to mother, from healing my own painful cycles, into two pregnancies and births.

Testimonials:

“Working with Adena helped me to really walk my talk.  I am in the wellness industry and practicing what I preach can be tricky at times.  Adena has inspired me to create a morning and evening routine that support how I want to live.  She has guided me to a spacious place where it’s easier to hear and tend to my bodies needs.  Just being around Adena inspires one to want to take self-care to a whole new level.” – K.S., Waterbury, Vermont

“You really got through to me about how things work inside me, especially my digestive system. It was during a time in my life where I felt my waste and toxins needed to be gone and I needed my body to have a fresh start.” – R.K., Winooski, Vermont

“…the food combining information as well as the way I eat foods has changed my digestion dramatically.” – T.O., Burlington, Vermont

“A huge thanks to you and your support over the past week! The last 3 days of my cleanse have been full of happiness and energy! I am continuing on with self massage, lemon water, and remembering to eat warm foods for lunch. Plus now I have a bunch of new recipes that are healthy and things I would never have known about!”  Rachel Keyser, Winooski, VT

“While working with Adena to complete a week long ayurvedic cleanse, I felt both empowered and supported. This was a cleanse I had wanted to do for a long time but found it difficult to do alone. She made it easy and created a plan that worked perfectly for my body and life style. She provided the tools, resources, and support I needed during this very important time. Adena is a wonderful teacher and is extremely knowledgeable of both yoga and ayurveda. You should also be warned that she makes the most delicious coconut and rose water macaroons. If you’re interested in ayurveda, whether it be a cleanse, massage or even something such as ayurvedic cooking lessons, I highly recommend Adena to help you along your path.” – Danielle Elizabeth, Burlington, VT

“Adena created a safe and comfortable container for me during our three sessions together. I was able to allow myself to be completely vulnerable and receive the massage’s deep healing benefits, which improved my body’s circulation dramatically and balanced me physiologically. Adena is extremely attentive and attuned to her clients’ needs, and offers a comprehensive experience that honors and harmonizes with one’s mind, body, soul and Spirit.” – J.K., Reiki Master Teacher, Burlington, VT.
